For the elementary school students and their families, come together for the first social event of the school year!
- What to bring: A potluck dish(serves 8-10 people) to share and a serving utensil (drop off at the front desk at 8:15 if you can not attend). Your own plates, bowls, utensils. Even if you will not be attending, please send your children with these items. Your own blanket.
- What to do: Bring your offering by 11:45 AM to the tables outside the auditorium. Join in the circle with the school children for the blessing. Help your children enter the lines in an orderly fashion, paying close attention to schoolmates who may need an adult’s help. Enjoy the picnic. Please use the recycle bins. Please pitch in on the clean up and encourage your children to participate also.
- What else? 1st graders and their families will start the lines then go in grade order. Dessert will be served only after everyone has moved through the lunch food line. All children are to be under the supervision of their families during the picnic. Your support of the people working the picnic will be appreciated. This is a lunch meal eaten on laps, so please use your kitchen magic to come up with an easy to eat entrée, salad, or dessert. Remember to label your serving items and take them home.
