Help Our School While You Shop

Matrushka: Come and visit our school store, located on 252 Main Street in Great Barrington for carefully selected toys, books and gifts. Manager Ruth Blair will give her full attention to your shopping needs for the holidays or for your children's birthdays. For every one hundred dollars spent, you receive 10% off on your next purchase. Our school has received nearly $75,000 in donations from Matrushka since 1991, so your dollars spent here do help out our school.

Schoolpop: For those of you who shop on the Internet, make your everyday purchases help GBRSS every day! You don't need to purchase anything you wouldn't normally buy. Just shop from a schoolpop partner merchant. There are hundreds of name brand merchants who are committed to helping our school by contributing a percent of your purchase to our school, and there is no extra cost to you! Simply go to www.schoolpop.com and click on the merchant's link where you will be taken to the merchant's web site. The resulting purchase automatically contributes to our school. If you don't shop on-line, you can use schoolpop in two other ways: 1) Register your existing credit cards with our secure registration. Then shop from our catalog and store merchants. or 2) Buy gift cards and certificates from Schoolpop's "Scrip & Earn" site and then redeem them for your purchase. The schoolpop number for GBRSS is 106647.

SCRIP: Similar to schoolpop but on a local level and no need to go on-line. You purchase scrip dollars, which are as good as cash when redeemed at the cash register of the participating store. The percentages vary, depending on the store. Participating merchants include Guidos 5%, The Berkshire Co-op 3%, Stockbridge BookSellers 10%, and Matrushka 10%, Big Y 2% and Hawthorne Valley Farm Store 5%. Each store then donates a percentage of what you purchased back to the school. To buy SCRIP please call Kim Gershon (413) 528-6605 or Claudia Laslie (413) 528-9004 or fill out a SCRIP order form and send it in with a check payable to GBRSS to school with your child. You will receive your SCRIP when your child returns from school that day or you may pick it up from Maria Crespo in the office. It's that easy! So remember before you shop, buy SCRIP, it pays!

BerkShares: You can now buy your BerkShares throuh our School SCRIP program. BerkShares will be sold dollar for dollar so the school earns 10% on your BerkShares purchase!

Big Y Education Express: As enrolled shoppers purchase designated Education Express items with Big Y's Express Saving's Club card, shoppers will earn award points for the school of their choice. Then, the designated school can redeem award points for any of the educational products featured in the Educational Express Awards Catalog, which includes merchandise for our sports and games classes, math, music and science classes. To enroll in this program simply stop at the courtesy desk at the Big Y.
