Parent/Toddler Circle meets once a week, and is an opportunity for young children (ages two to three-and-a-half) and their parents to experience the rhythms of a Waldorf kindergarten morning.
In the inviting environment of a Waldorf classroom, parents engage in home-like activities or make simple crafts while their children help them or play nearby. Circle and story time reflect the world of nature and seasonal festivals. Parents have an opportunity to share parenting skills and concerns in discussion with an experienced kindergarten teacher.
Sessions of eight weeks each are offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring. During the 2010 – 2011 School Year, the Parent Toddler Circles are tentatively planned as:
Fall Session:
- Monday, October 18 – December 6
Winter Session:
- Monday, January 24 – March 21 (no class February 21)
Spring Session:
- Monday, March 28 – May 23 (no class April 18)
